Mashrafe Mortaza is set to return to Bangladesh's side as captain for their One-Day International tri-series with India and Sri Lanka provided he passes a fitness test.
The fast bowler underwent knee surgery after injury ruled him out of the majority of his country's tour of the West Indies, after which Shakib Al Hasan assumed captaincy duties for the rest of the tour and two subsequent series against Zimbabwe.
Mortaza had surgery on both knees in Australia and has recently returned to training ahead of the tri-series which begins on 4th January when Bangladesh play Sri Lanka.
